Epigenetics and short peptides

Epigenetics is a branch of genetics that deals with the study of all those heritable modifications that lead to changes in gene expression without altering the DNA sequence,

Specifically, epigenetic modifications are carried out by a series of molecules, such as short peptides, which, through specific reactions, attach themselves to or detach from certain parts of the DNA, making them more or less accessible.

Focusing on these effects of natural peptides produced by our bodies, more than 50 years ago in Russia, Prof. Khavinson and his team began studies on short peptides.

What are the elements to consider when choosing a dietary supplement?

There are several things to consider when choosing a dietary supplement. Let us consider the four most important ones:

• Purity

Synthetic peptides can contain varying amounts of impurities, which may result from total/partial oxidation or decomposition of the product, and/or come from foreign chemical substances. The mechanism of action of peptides is very delicate and even the presence of small impurities can compromise their proper functioning and thus render the treatment ineffective.

• Effectiveness
